Relief Society Community Service Project

Wednesday March 3rd
10:00 a.m - 2:00 p.m.
We will be sewing easy backpacks for children who enter the Skagit Valley Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Safe House. We'll put some personal items that they can keep in their rooms and take with them when they leave. Most of these children & youth come in with nothing of their own as they are often fleeing a hrmful situation quickly. We are collecting items to fill the packs. We encourage you to have your co-workers or neighbors pitch in with donations. These should be inexpensive dollar store type items but if you have very gently used items listed below they would work too.
Bring a sewing machine & various colors of thread. Lunch & nursery will be provided.
